How can you say the Haitian immigration was legal? How can 20,000 people from Haiti be dumped into a town of 40 000? How can you expect rents to not go up when the US government pays all their rent? How can you expect homelessness not to increase in such a small town? It is a known fact that 40% of Haitian people practice Voodoo. And yes Voodoo has animal rituals. How can you expect this to be zero for 20,000 people. How can you yake gross numbers of immigrants and assume they are the same for Haitians? And lastly, your crime statistics, they include felonies. But do the include misdemeanor s?

great analysis as always. to play devil's advocate: do you know if there'd be any reason for lower conviction/arrest rates for immigrants related to their immigration status? my hunch is no, but was wondering if you had put any thought into it

In Denver police no longer respond to shoplifting or any theft over 1 500. Only felonies ard prosecuted. My house has been robbed 3 times in the last 3 years. No arrest and no felony means no reported crime here. The devil is in the details
